I remember that Carol joined our class sometime during elementry school, possibly at the Pond Plain School (someone please correct me if I am wrong). She was adorable, as I recall and always had such a pretty smile. I was never in her circle of friends at school, but during the summer of 1962 we both worked at the Norwood Hospital and became friends at that time. She was headed to Mount Auburn Hospital School of Nursing in September, but during that summer she met Bob Delaney (so handsome!) who was hospitalized following an accident. Bob and Carol were very much in love, and I believe that they were married very soon after meeting. Each time I think of that summer of uncertainty for myself, I remember Carol meeting the love of her life in Private Room 104 at the Norwood Hospital. Rest in peace, Carol.
